Ever been hit by the ball from anyone good ?

I must have been to about a thousand games, and I've only been hit twice by the ball,Bobby Barnes at Selhurst in a cup match early 80s,and by Andrew Impey in the chicken run in the 90s,surely someone has been hit by Malcolm Mcdonald or Ronaldo ?

Marlon Harewood away at Crewe, he usually struggled to hit a barn door from 10ft but managed to knock my tea and Pie out of my hands in the pre-match warm up.

Walsall away once and something I've stuck on here before, Dicksy and Hutchinson were warming up and fucking about as usual.
Such was Dicksies skill that Don was picking out hammers fans for him to belt the ball at and he caught some poor cunt smack in the side of the head who was walking back with a couple of teas.
Was fucking brilliant, as he was about the only poor Bastard who didn't know what was happening as all the other Hammers fans cracked up at his misfortune.

Never hit, though ball did once steam towards me during a warm up at Chesterfield.
Obviously wasn't rammed so decided to volley it back, but fell down the step a little and instead volleyed it over my head out of the stand backwards.
Queue the joyous classic shout of 'yiddo, yiddo, yiddo' aimed at me.
Good times - loved terracing!!

years ago at wealdstone fc was behind the goal before kick off Stuart Pearce smashed one caught outside of post smacked me on side of head went down like a sack of potatoes

David Unsworth launched a clearance into the old west stand - aiming straight for me. I jumped up to head it back - but in truth the ball hit my forehead rather than my forehead hitting the ball.
Headed back onto the pitch but nowhere near where I was aiming for!!
Still milked the crowd applause though!

George Parris was a couple of years above me at school and we had the usual lunchtime kickaround - one day he kicked the ball straight into my nuts- when footballs were a hell of a lot heavier than they are now...poleaxed me for about 5 minutes. Never even said sorry, but all was forgotten when he started playing for West Ham!

Took my nephew to a game where WHU played away at little Dorchester Town. During the warm up Dicksie belted the ball and it knocked my nephew sparko ... He ran over and made sure he was ok. End of the game he came over and gave him his shirt. Top fella...

I went to the FA cup game away to Southampton in 1975.
The ball went sailing over our heads and I turned round to see where it went. It rebounded off the television gantry behind me and came back an hit me square in the face.

I got hit on the shoulder by a rasper from Steve Jones against Spurs. In the South Bank.
So, yes I have been hit, but by anyone good is arguable. Nothing personal to Jonesy.

Mid-week away at Wimbledon when the they played at that fucking terrible hockey stadium.
Was stood behind the goal not paying too much attention to what was a drab game, and caught one on the bonce from Marlon Harewood who was, as I recall, making his debut after signing from Forest.
Not good...

Franks missus Pat was my mums best friend they grew up together she was lovely.i was good mates with Natelie their eldest daughter we used to sneak off and skin up in the shed she was a right laugh.Still see her now and again.
